Job summary

Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) in Peoria is seeking a Benefits and Eligibility Specialist to determine eligibility for Nutrition, Medical and Cash Assistance. This on-site role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced office.

You will interview applicants, collect information, enter data, and participate in required training while supporting Arizonans in need.

Qualifications

• One year of experience performing eligibility reviews or one year of customer service.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced field office and interact with diverse clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in-person or by telephone in a fast-paced office.
• Participate in paid classroom training with on-the-job training.
• Provide excellent customer service to individuals and families.
• Collect information to determine eligibility for Medical, Nutrition, and Cash Assistance.
• Enter data and complete interview and application processes across multiple screens.
• Adhere to agency standards in a high-volume office.
