Job summary

State of Georgia seeks a Grants Specialist Supervisor for the Public Assistance Division within GEMA/HS. You will lead a team administering FEMA grants statewide, ensuring policy compliance and effective reporting.

Strong communication and mentoring are essential as you guide staff through complex grant processes. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and several years of grants experience, with preference for supervisory background and Master’s level study.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Four years of professional level experience in accounting or a closely related fiscal activity, or 6 years as Grants Specialist with supervisory experience.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of all program areas within Public Assistance.
• Develops cooperative relationships with internal/external contacts.
• Conducts research to generate reports and respond to questions.
• Analyzes issues and develops recommendations for solutions.
• Provides training, mentoring and encouragement to staff.
• Reviews grant expenditures to ensure compliance with policies.
• Reviews final grant documentation for required formats.
• Completes special projects as assigned.
• Travel required.
