Job summary

The State of Washington Emergency Management Division seeks a Public Assistance Program Assistant to support disaster response and recovery efforts, including grant documentation, reimbursements, and reporting.

This role requires strong organizational skills, experience with grants management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and tracking systems; telework may be available after orientation, with standard hours and WFSE union representation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional level experience in emergency management or finance substitutes for education.
• Experience in emergency management organizations at a level equivalent to Office Assistant Senior or higher substitutes for education.
• Experience with grants management, contracts, and reimbursement processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor grant contracts and reimbursements.
• Coordinate and process grant awards and sub-recipient reimbursements.
• Maintain grant records and ensure compliance with deadlines and conditions.
• Assist in PDAs, disaster reports, and coordination with federal/state agencies.
