Job summary

The Nines, Portland, part of Sage Hospitality Group, is seeking a House Person to clean and maintain all corridors and public areas in line with safety standards and guest service expectations.

Responsibilities include floor walking, trash removal, linen handling, and assisting other housekeeping staff. The role requires no formal education or prior experience and offers a supportive team environment with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with guests and supervisors.
• Ability to meet appearance standards.
• Ability to assess required reaction to meet standards.

Responsibilities

• Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers and service trays, empty trash receptacles.
• Remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning.
• Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner following safety and security procedures.
• Remove soiled linen and trash from service areas and take to appropriate locations.
• Aid section housekeepers as needed.
• Stock linen and supply closets to ensure par inventories.
• Report missing/found articles or damage to supervisor.
• Respond to guest requests and questions to ensure guest satisfaction.
