Job summary

ALOFT Santa Clara is seeking a House Attendant to maintain cleanliness in public areas, guest floors and rooms. This role requires attention to detail, a positive guest-first attitude and teamwork with the housekeeping department.

Responsibilities include cleaning lobby, public restrooms, stocking supplies, delivering items and responding to guest requests promptly. The position requires weekend/holiday availability and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or customer service preferred.
• Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays and overnight shifts.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness standards of the hotel in all public areas, guest floors and guest rooms.
• Clean and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel lobby, hallways, public restrooms, and public areas of the hotel.
• Deep cleaning assigned areas of the hotel.
• Deliver housekeeping items to guest rooms upon request from the Front Desk or Supervisor.
• Greet guests in hallways, lobby or public areas with a friendly greeting.
• Respond promptly to guest requests in a timely and friendly manner.
• Follow procedures for entering and leaving guest rooms.
• Follow all instructions when filling spray bottles with cleaning chemicals, never mix chemicals.
• Turn in keys and radio to the Housekeeping Department when shift ends.
• Work safely to prevent injury to yourself, other staff, or guests.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of Room Attendants closets, guest areas and hotel facilities.
• Report to work on time and in uniform, maintain personal hygiene.
• Other duties may be assigned.
