Reports to: Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager

Job Type: Part-Time ONLY

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Areas Attendant to join our housekeeping team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall appearance of public areas within the facility, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, meeting rooms, and back of house spaces. This position plays a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Clean and maintain all public areas, ensuring they are free of dust, debris, and litter.
2. Vacuum, mop, and polish floors in lobbies, hallways, and common areas.
3. Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked with supplies, and well-maintained at all times.
4. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated areas.
5. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the housekeeping supervisor or maintenance team.
6. Assist with the setup and breakdown of events and meetings as required.
7. Monitor and replenish supplies in public areas, such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
8. Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while interacting with guests and staff.
9. Adhere to all safety and health regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
10. Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.
2. Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or a similar role is advantageous.
3. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
4. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Physical stamina to perform various cleaning tasks and lift moderate weights.
7. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
