Job summary

The Hilton President Kansas City is seeking a part-time Public Areas Attendant to perform floor care, cleaning, and dusting tasks primarily on weekend days.

You will maintain a clean and welcoming environment for guests, handle various cleaning duties, and contribute to a polished hotel experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to comply with attendance rules.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to communicate well with guests.
• Must be able to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Floor care, including vacuuming, sweeping and mopping.
• Clean sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, tiles, counters and stalls according to procedures.
• Dust all furniture, pictures and shelves; reach overhead as needed.
• Clean and polish metal surfaces with proper technique.
• Empty trash and ashtrays; maintain a neat appearance.

We are currently seeking a

Public Areas Attendant

This is a part-time position that works primarily weekend days.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Floor care, including vacuuming, sweeping and mopping.
• Thoroughly clean sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, tiles, counters, walls, stalls, vents and/or floors with cleaning agents by extending arms over head to reach all above areas. Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
• Thoroughly dust all furniture, pictures, and shelves, extending arms over head, bending and stooping as needed.
• Thoroughly clean and polish all metal surfaces, applying pressure in repeated motion.
• Clean ashtrays and empty trash.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.

ABILITIES

• Ability to comply with attendance rules.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs.
• Ability to communicate well with guests.
• Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to push or pull heavy equipment.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform job functions with limited supervision.

COMPENSATION

• $17.75 per hour starting pay.
