Job summary

HRI Hospitality in Dana Point seeks a Public Area Attendant to keep all public areas clean and welcoming. You will maintain lobby spaces, restrooms and associated areas to the brand standards, perform daily cleaning tasks, and support guest needs with courtesy.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or housekeeping is preferred.
• Grooming standards must be met.
• Able to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain lobby, hallways, elevators, restrooms and other public areas.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish surfaces as required.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Maintain cleanliness and restocking of public restrooms.
• Ensure furniture, décor and fixtures are clean and tidy.
• Monitor lobby appearance and address issues promptly.
• Respond to guest requests and provide courteous assistance.
• Perform special projects as assigned by management.
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.

Job Summary

The Public Area Attendant will service and maintain the cleanliness of all public areas including public and associate restrooms, associate cafeteria, lobby areas, banquet spaces and hotel offices in accordance with brand standards.

Job Duties

Operations:

• Clean and maintain lobby, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and public areas.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish surfaces as required.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Maintain cleanliness and restocking of public restrooms.
• Ensure all furniture, décor, and fixtures in public areas are clean and tidy.
• Monitor lobby appearance throughout the shift and address issues promptly.
• Respond to guest requests and provide assistance courteously.
• Perform special projects as assigned by management.
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.

Job Knowledge:

• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures is preferred.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous cleaning, janitorial, or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Hospitality environment experience a plus.
• Able to work with little or no supervision.
• Must meet grooming standards.
• Strong attention to detail as it pertains to cleanliness standards.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and at times overtime depending on business needs.
