The impact you’ll make…

The Public Area Attendant will keep all public areas and facilities (such as lobby restrooms, telephone area, the front desk, and offices) in a neat and clean condition. Public area attendants promote a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly, and able to address guest requests and problems.

What you’ll be doing…

• Clean rooms, hallways, and restrooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of restaurants and banquet halls.
• Sweep and vacuum carpets.
• Remove trash and empty ashtrays and urns.
• Dust and polish metal work, furniture, fixtures, and elevators.
• Keep the front of the hotel free from trash.
• Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using appropriate cleaning equipment.
• Wash walls and ceilings, move and arrange furniture, and turn mattresses.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
• Maintain all cleaning equipment used.
• Adhere to scheduled cleaning routines and perform spring cleaning as scheduled.
• Enter offices for maintenance or activities like pest control or carpet shampooing as authorized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

You should be able to…

• Speak, read, and write in the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Stand and walk frequently throughout the workday.
• Lift, lower, and maneuver up to 30 pounds occasionally.
• Reach, bend, stoop, and pivot frequently throughout the workday.
