Description

The Hermitage Club at Haystack Mountain is seeking diligent, service-oriented individuals to join our team as Public Area Attendants. This position plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and presentation of all Club common spaces—including residential areas, recreational facilities, and administrative areas—ensuring an exceptional experience for our members and guests throughout the winter operating season.

The position is limited to the Club’s winter operating season from November 1st through April 30.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and restock all residential and public spaces including washrooms, locker rooms, pool, gym, theatre, spa, and hallways.

• Maintain cleanliness in heart-of-house and administrative areas.

• Ensure proper use, storage, and upkeep of housekeeping equipment and supplies.

• Collect and dispose of trash throughout the facility in a timely and hygienic manner.

• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of spa and locker room areas, ensuring supplies and towels are stocked and equipment is in working order.

• Clean windows, carpets, elevators, doors, and surfaces to Club standards.

• Conduct self-inspections of cleaned areas to ensure quality and consistency.

• Handle and operate all cleaning equipment safely; report any malfunctions immediately.

• Provide friendly, courteous assistance to members and guests when needed.

• Follow all safety procedures including MSDS compliance and proper chemical handling.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).

• Prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment.

• Must be flexible, dependable, and responsive to guest needs.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.

• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry items up to 40 lbs.

• Work takes place in indoor and outdoor winter conditions.

• Must be comfortable working weekends and holidays as required.
