Job Description Summary

Clean and service the assigned public areas according to established quality standards and procedures.

Job Description

  1. Clean and service assigned areas to established standards and procedures, which may include public restrooms, lobby area, public phone areas, vending areas, etc., and may include cleaning employee break areas and restrooms.
  2. Strip and wax floors as needed, clean and polish all furniture, railings, table tops, mirrors in assigned areas.
  3. Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
  4. Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
  5. Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.
  6. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  7. Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures.
  8. May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects.
  9. May assist with other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Some housekeeping experience and ability to speak English preferred.

This job requires the ability to perform the following:

  1. Frequently standing up or moving within and about the facility.
  2. Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50lbs and pushing and/or pulling approximately 200lbs.
  3. Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
  4. Frequently bending, stooping and kneeling.
  5. Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees.
  6. Basic reading, writing and math abilities are utilized often when reading assignments, completing checklists, replacing linens and amenities.
  7. May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
