Job summary

A law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney specializing in Public Agency Litigation. This permanent, hybrid position allows for remote work but requires in-person attendance for court proceedings and client meetings. The ideal candidate will have a J.D., at least 5 years of public agency litigation experience, and a strong skill set in communication and analysis. Responsibilities include representing public agencies in litigation and providing legal counsel on various issues.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in public agency litigation, municipal law, CEQA, construction defect, and environmental law.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex litigation matters.

Responsibilities

• Represent public agencies in state and federal courts and administrative bodies.
• Handle litigation matters related to construction defects and environmental issues.
• Provide legal counsel on land use, contracting, and employment law.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings and contracts.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
