Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, Communications, or related field.
• Master's degree is advantageous.
• 3–5 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, or related field.
• Strong understanding of South African political and regulatory landscape.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze government policies, legislation, and regulatory changes.
• Develop strategies for government relations and stakeholder engagement.
• Build and maintain relationships with government officials and community leaders.
• Prepare position papers, briefing materials, and presentations on public affairs issues.
• Represent the company in meetings with government agencies and industry associations.
• Advise senior management on public affairs matters and potential impacts on the business.
• Coordinate and manage lobbying efforts where applicable.
• Develop and manage communication plans for public affairs initiatives.
