Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in communications or related field.
• 5+ years of government/federal public affairs, communications, or journalism would be ideal.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong organizational and project management skills required.
• Proficiency with social media platforms and content management systems required.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Communication Planning: Develop and implement strategic communication plans to support objectives and enhance public perception.
• Content Creation and Management: Produce press releases, news articles, speeches, and social media posts; update website content.
• Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media representatives; coordinate interviews and monitor coverage.
• Social Media Management: Develop strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement; schedule and respond to content.
• Event Planning and Execution: Plan and coordinate press conferences, media tours, and community outreach events; manage logistics.
• Branding and Messaging: Ensure consistency of messaging across channels and alignment with brand guidelines.
• Research and Analysis: Conduct research to inform strategies and monitor public opinion and issues.
