Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Falls Church, VA, seeks a Public Affairs and Media Operations Manager to steer day-to-day public affairs initiatives, media operations, and advocacy communications for the newsroom and external platforms.

You will lead a team, coordinate with Legislative Affairs, and shape messaging while ensuring security clearance readiness and high-impact communications across diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years related experience, or Master’s with 8+ years, or A.S. with 12+ years, or HS diploma with 14+ years.
• Solid understanding of government relations and advocacy communications strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across diverse platforms.

Responsibilities

• Sets strategy for Newsroom operations and external communications.
• Leads coordination with Legislative Affairs and media engagement priorities.
• Manages a team of public affairs and media operations specialists.
• Oversees tools supporting advocacy strategies and dashboards.
• Contributes to sponsorship and thought leadership activities.
