Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Justice & Public Safety Cabinet seeks an Information Officer III in Frankfort to develop news releases, talking points, digital media content and official certificates. You will work with the Public Affairs Branch to distribute timely information to media and the public.

The role plans comprehensive communications programs, coordinating media, publications, and public affairs to promote the agency's mission while maintaining high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three years of experience in journalism, public relations, or equivalent duties.

Responsabilités

• Writes and researches KSP press releases, talking points, articles and scripts.
• Designs and edits official newsletters, internet/intranet postings, awards programs and publications.
• Captures digital photography at news conferences and events.
• Supports event coordination including press conferences and cadet graduations.
• Tracks media dissemination and prepares monthly coverage summaries.
• Contributes to digital media marketing and social media activities.
• Assists other branches with special projects and maintains historical files.
