Job summary

Creative Foam, a leading provider of foam and plastic products, is hiring an Operator to manage PU foam production on our Dayton, Ohio line. The role covers machine startup, tooling maintenance, data entry into Plex, inventory labeling, and ensuring quality foam per our standards.

The position supports continuous improvement initiatives, adheres to safety policies, and requires attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 1st shift runs 5:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Start up the machines in a timely manner.
• Inspect and verify the working condition of the PU machine and its tooling for ISO, Poly, hydraulic, water and air leaks.
• Prepare and maintain the tooling for production; verify tools are cleaned and ready to shoot; wax preparation.
• Maintain correct machine parameter set points throughout the production shift; cross-reference the line check sheet.
• Ensure that all necessary data is entered into Plex and the line white board is properly filled out and maintained.
• Ensure that source inventories related to the molding operation are correctly labeled and maintained.
• Ensure the assigned PU machine is producing foam that meets quality requirements and policies.
• Perform basic maintenance on the PU machine (pressure adjustments, orifice cleaning, turning tools on/off).
• Ensure parts produced during molding are labeled and meet quality requirements; escalate deficiencies and participate in 5S and continuous improvement.
