Job summary

Brazosport College seeks an Experienced Adjunct Art Instructor to teach courses in the Art department on a part‑time, as‑needed basis at the Lake Jackson campus. Appointments are made per semester and depend on enrollment and department needs.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s Degree in Art (Fine Arts) or an equivalent credential with strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to deliver instruction through traditional and alternative methods.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Art (Fine Arts) or master’s with 18 graduate hours in art from a regionally accredited college.
• Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance value to the institution.
• SACS minimum credentials met; special consideration possible.

Job Summary/Basic Function

Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part‑time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College.

Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part‑time basis.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of an Master’s Degree in Art (Fine Arts) or a master’s degree with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate hours in art from a regionally accredited college or university
• Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution
• Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration as long as Southern Association (SACS) minimum educational credentials are met
