Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• PTCB certificate.
• Registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Pass a math test relevant to retail pharmacy.
• Maintain BLS/CPR.
• Maintain required certifications.
• Two years of healthcare experience.
• 1+ years of pharmacy logistics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient information to ensure correct dosing.
• Dispense medications accurately and safely.
• Maintain medication stock and supplies per safety protocols.
• Adjust workload priorities to maximize efficiency.
• Handle insurance adjudication and pre-authorizations.
• Complete daily/monthly drug checks and orders.
• Provide patient counseling and document refusals.
• Communicate with physicians’ offices and insurers as needed.
• Conduct weekly controlled substance counts and document findings.
• Assist in training new staff.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and engage respectfully with patients and colleagues.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and report unresolved issues to the Pharmacist/Manager.
