The position requires a PTCB certificate, Texas license, and two years of healthcare experience, with preferred pharmacy logistics experience. Schedule includes weekdays and Saturdays, with a mission-driven culture and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• PTCB certification required.
• Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration required.
• Able to pass a math test related to retail pharmacy activities.
• Maintain BLS/CPR.
• Must have two years healthcare experience.
• One year pharmacy logistics preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively with staff, community, and public.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Experience with Windows, Excel, and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient information to ensure accurate medication dosing.
• Dispense medications accurately and safely to patients.
• Maintain medication stock and supplies, following safety protocols.
• Adjust workload priorities to maximize efficiency.
• Handle insurance adjudication and pre-authorizations promptly.
• Complete daily and monthly checklists, including expired drug checks.
• Provide patient counseling and document refusals.
• Communicate with physicians and insurance companies as needed.
• Conduct weekly controlled substance counts and document findings.
• Help train new pharmacy staff.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and engage respectfully with customers and colleagues.
