Job summary

Gateway Community Health Center Inc. in Texas seeks a Pharmacy Technician to perform non-judgmental, technical tasks under supervision. You will manage inventory, assist the pharmacist with counting, labeling, and data entry to ensure accurate prescription processing across clinic sites.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, PTCB certification, Texas registration, and a current BLS certificate; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred to better serve patients across sites.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited high school or GED program.
• Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• Registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in receiving and unpacking orders and maintains stock flow.
• Keeps records of all prescriptions filled and files prescriptions.
• Assists the pharmacist with counting, pouring medications and labeling containers.
• Obtains counseling information from computer and attaches it to prescriptions.
• Enters prescription data into computer system and runs labels.
• Transmits orders to Pfizer Rx Pathways for replenishment.
• Performs daily and monthly inventory tasks and reports.
• Assists in keeping stock free of expired medications and checks medications before distribution.
• Answers phone inquiries and refers questions to pharmacists.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
