Job summary

Walgreens is hiring a Pharmacy Technician in Richmond, VA to support pharmacists under supervision and assist in the daily pharmacy operations.

You will process prescriptions, enter patient data in pharmacy systems, and help with inventory and cash register duties while delivering excellent customer service. Prior retail experience and PTCB certification are preferred, with flexible scheduling to cover evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
Prefer good computer skills.
Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and related duties.
Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and assist cashiers.
Greet customers and deliver a distinctive customer experience.
Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring drugs and verify accuracy.
Assist with inventory management and pharmacy department duties.
Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
Support coordination of clinical services and provider outreach as needed.
