Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist under supervision, process prescriptions, and help maintain pharmacy operations. You will use pharmacy systems to enter patient data, verify drug interactions, and support the cash register and inventory processes.

This role requires English fluency, willingness to work evenings/weekends, and a customer‑facing approach to deliver a delightful Walgreens experience. Prior retail or Walgreens experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for prescription filling.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and related duties.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and assist with third party claims.
• Enter patient and drug information, verify accuracy, and check for interactions.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring drugs, and ensure correct medication.
• Maintain inventory and assist in pharmacy workflow and store operations.
