Job summary

Houston Medical Center – AMG Specialty Hospital is seeking PRN Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA). The PTA administers physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and per physician orders, helping develop and implement patient-specific plans of care.

The role requires a Texas PTA license, current BLS, and strong English communication skills; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas PTA license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Additional languages desirable.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy treatment interventions guided by the plan of care established by a Physical Therapist and as ordered by a Physician.
• Collaborate with a Physical Therapist to develop and adjust treatment programs for therapy patients.
