Job summary

Pine Ridge Care Center is seeking a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our clinical team in California. The PTA will administer treatments and perform tests to assess neuromuscular and musculoskeletal function, following an established plan of care within federal guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree, CA PTA license, and has prior clinical experience. A sign-on bonus is available, with on-call/PRN scheduling and generous PTO/referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
