Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center/Veterans Community Living Center (SPRHC/VCLC) seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Rehabilitation Services team in southern Colorado. Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will provide patient-centered care, assist with therapeutic interventions, and document progress.

Colorado licensure or eligibility and CPR/BLS are required; rural community impact and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a PTA in Colorado.
• CPR/BLS certified or willing to obtain certification.
• Compassionate and patient-focused.

Responsibilities

• Providing therapeutic treatments according to the patient's plan of care.
• Helping patients improve strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and independence.
• Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Monitoring patient progress and response to treatment.
• Communicating patient needs and progress with the Physical Therapist and healthcare team.
• Developing positive relationships with patients and their families.
• Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
