Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers in New York (Woodmere) seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to implement therapy programs under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist. You will deliver treatments and support resident independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program certified by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Licensed as required by the State.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident’s individualized treatment plan under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Provides PT treatments including modalities and exercises.
• Assists PT during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups with the PT.
• Instructs residents, families and caregivers in PT techniques under supervision.
• Collaborates with rehab team to develop tailored programs.
• Maintains timely resident documentation for all treated residents.
• Attends resident care and staff meetings as a PT representative.
• Cleans, maintains, and reports equipment needs.
• Delivers high-quality, compassionate care respecting residents’ needs and rights.
