Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver prescribed therapy under supervision. The PTA implements treatment plans and provides individualized PT treatments to residents to enhance independence and function.

Responsibilities include administering modalities, assisting the PT with tests, organizing group activities, and educating residents and families in therapy techniques while maintaining accurate documentation and participating in care meetings.

• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident’s individualized treatment plan as defined by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Provides individualized physical therapy treatments including modalities and exercises.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in consultation with the physical therapist.
• Instructs residents, families and other caregivers in PT techniques under supervision.
• Collaborates with rehab team to develop personalized programs.
• Maintains documentation for all residents treated.
• Attends care and staffing meetings as a PT representative.
• Cleans and reports needs for equipment maintenance.
• Delivers high-quality, compassionate service respecting residents' rights.
