Job Description

TMC is a therapy provider that brings physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to long term care providers. We are growing and looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant to join the team.

Department: Quality Care Rehab

Location: Aviva Senior Living

Compensation: $35.00 - $40.00 / hour

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care Implementation: Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by the physical therapist to address patients' specific rehabilitation goals and functional needs.
• Therapeutic Exercise and Activities: Lead patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities designed to enhance their physical function and promote recovery.
• Modalities and Physical Agents: Ensure the proper application of various treatment modalities, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment parameters as necessary.
• Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families on injury prevention strategies and proper body mechanics.
• Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor patients' responses to treatment interventions, documenting progress and communicating updates to the supervising physical therapist.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Degree in an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Current license/certification in the state of practice
