Job summary

The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Boca Raton, FL. The PTA collaborates with Physical Therapists to deliver personalized therapy that improves mobility, strength, and independence for residents.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, assisting with gait and transfer training, and educating residents and families about exercises.

Qualifications

• Active Florida PTA license in good standing.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehab center, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and mobility training to residents.
• Monitor resident progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Accurately document treatments and resident responses per guidelines.
• Assist residents with gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and strengthening exercises.
• Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals and outcomes.
• Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and exercises.
