Job summary

The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will work closely with Physical Therapists to help residents improve mobility, strength, independence, and overall quality of life.

This role focuses on implementing treatment plans, guiding therapeutic exercises, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver resident-centered care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Active Florida PTA license in good standing.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehab center, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and mobility training to residents.
• Monitor resident progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Accurately document treatments and resident responses in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist residents with gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and strengthening exercises.
• Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals and outcomes.
• Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and exercises as directed.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures.
