Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Ohio to implement PT programs under supervision. The role supports residents toward greater independence through PT treatments and activities.

Ideal candidates complete an accredited PTA program and hold state licensure. The position offers full-time, part-time and per diem options with benefits described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Licensed as required by the State.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident's individualized treatment plan as defined by the lead PT.
• Provides individualized PT treatments including modalities and exercises.
• Acts as assistant to PT during tests, evaluations and complex procedures.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in consultation with PT.
• Instructs residents, families and caregivers in PT techniques under supervision.
• Collaborates with rehab team to develop programs matching resident needs.
• Maintains timely documentation for all residents treated.
• Attends resident care and staffing meetings as PT representative.
• Cleans, maintains and reports equipment repairs as needed.
• Ensures high-quality service in a caring atmosphere respecting residents' needs.
