Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support residents under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will implement and monitor therapy programs to promote independence and functional improvement.

Responsibilities include administering treatments, documenting progress, coordinating with therapy staff, and educating residents and families while maintaining high standards of compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program certified by the APTA.
• Licensed as required by the State.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident’s individualized treatment plan as defined by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Provides individualized physical therapy treatments including modalities and exercises.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in consultation with the physical therapist.
• Instructs residents, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy treatment program.
• Works with other rehab team members to develop programs aligned with each resident’s needs.
• Maintains documentation for all residents treated in a timely manner.
• Attends care and staff meetings as a PT representative.
• Cleans, maintains, and reports equipment repair needs.
• Ensures high-quality service in a compassionate atmosphere.
