Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Columbus, OH. The PTA implements therapy programs and provides treatments under a licensed Physical Therapist to boost residents’ independence and function.

The role covers both full-time and part-time options with overtime potential. Competitive hourly pay ranges from $28 to $33, with eligible benefits included. Candidates should be graduates of an accredited PTA program and hold the required state license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Licensed as required by the State.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident’s individualized treatment plan as defined by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Provides individualized physical therapy treatments including modalities and exercises.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in consultation with the physical therapist.
• Instructs residents, families and other caregivers in PT treatment techniques under supervision.
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team to align programs with residents’ needs.
• Maintains timely resident documentation for all treated residents.
• Attends resident care, staffing and related meetings as PT representative.
• Maintains and reports on equipment condition and repair needs.
• Delivers high-quality service in a caring, rights-respecting atmosphere.
