Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to carry out prescribed physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist. This role supports residents’ independence and functional improvement in a care-focused environment.

The PTA will implement treatment plans, assist with modalities and exercises, and help coordinate group activities with the rehabilitation team. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Licensed as required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident's individualized treatment plan as defined by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Provides individualized physical therapy treatments including modalities and exercises.
• Assists the Physical Therapist when tests, evaluations, or complex procedures are performed.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in consultation with the Physical Therapist.
• Instructs residents, families and other caregivers in PT techniques under supervision.
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team to develop programs and activities for residents.
• Maintains timely documentation for all residents treated.
• Attends resident care and staff meetings as a PT representative.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and reports repairs as needed.
• Ensures high-quality, compassionate service for residents and families.
