Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement the plan of care and serve as a clinical resource. The role offers a sign-on bonus and opportunities to educate patients, families, students, and other staff.

The PTA will follow the therapist's plan, adjust treatments based on response, and maintain documentation in accordance with policy. Ongoing CEUs related to joint replacement may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a relevant field (PTA program) required.
• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) current in IL or able to obtain license.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the plan of care and documents communications with the evaluating therapist.
• Completes documentation per Clinical Documentation Policy.
• Participates in required continuing education related to joint replacement certifications.
