Job summary

Tarboro Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team in a skilled nursing facility setting. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents achieve their physical therapy goals and promote recovery.

You will implement treatment plans, lead therapeutic exercises, monitor progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in North Carolina.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Experience in SNF or geriatric care preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Execute therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve strength, mobility and function.
• Provide hands-on support and guidance to residents during therapy sessions.
• Monitor progress and update treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Educate residents and families on exercise routines and safety post-therapy.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations regarding rehabilitation therapy.
