Job summary

Odyssey-Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to implement individualized therapies under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist. You will deliver modalities and exercises, assist with tests and evaluations, and help organize group sessions to promote independence and functioning.

The role requires strong organizational, time management, and communication skills, with patient-centered care in a supportive rehabilitation team setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state of practice.
• Must be able and willing to practice physical therapy per state guidelines.
• Must possess good organizational and time management skills.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements customer’s individualized treatment plan as defined by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Provides individualized physical therapy treatments including modalities and exercises.
• Assists the Physical Therapist when performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in consultation with the Physical Therapist.
• Instructs customers, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy program under supervision.
• Maintains documentation for all customers treated and participates in required meetings.
