Job summary

The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will work closely with Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality therapy that improves mobility, strength, independence, and overall quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• Active Florida PTA license (in good standing) and CPR certification if required by facility.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic exercises and mobility training to residents
• Monitor resident progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Accurately document treatments and resident responses in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines
• Assist residents with gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and strengthening exercises
• Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals and outcomes
• Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and exercises as directed
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures
