Job summary

The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans, guide residents through exercises, and help improve mobility and independence.

You will monitor progress, document responses, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve resident goals while maintaining a safe, patient-centered

Qualifications

• Active Florida PTA license in good standing.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and mobility training to residents.
• Monitor resident progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Document treatments and resident responses in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist residents with gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and strengthening exercises.
• Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals and outcomes.
• Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and exercises as directed.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures.
