Job summary

The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA will work with Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality therapy that helps residents improve mobility, strength, independence, and overall quality of life.

This role emphasizes resident-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and adherence to facility policies.

Qualifications

• Active Florida PTA license in good standing.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and mobility training to residents.
• Monitor resident progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Accurately document treatments and resident responses in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist residents with gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and strengthening exercises.
• Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals and outcomes.
• Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and exercises as directed.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures.
