Job summary

Pikes Peak State College, located in Colorado Springs, seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant Faculty member for the PTA program. This 9-month, full-time role involves teaching in the PTA program and related courses, with expected engagement in labs, clinics, and course development.

Qualifications

• 4,000 hours of verified occupational experience in the content area or 3 years of verified teaching experience.
• 3 years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice.
• Licensed PT or PTA with corresponding entry-level degree.
• 1 year of teaching experience in a Physical Therapy or PTA program.
• 3 years of experience with various patients in inpatient/outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Lecture and lab instruction in PTA program and PPSC courses as needed.
• Meet scheduled classes/labs/clinics and maintain course outlines.
• Use diverse teaching methods to reach students of varying backgrounds.
• Evaluate students and provide ongoing feedback on progress.
• Maintain records and assist with program assessment and accreditation.
