Job summary

Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) invites applications for an Instructor/Clinical Coordinator in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. This full-time role collaborates with the Program Director and Dean of Health Sciences to provide robust clinical experiences, recruit sites, and deliver both didactic and clinical instruction in compliance with accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or an Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant with a Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
• Holds an active, unencumbered PT license or PTA license in North Carolina
• Master's degree or higher in Physical Therapy or health-related field (preferred)
• Completion of APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor Program
• PT: APTA Specialist Certification
• PTA: APTA Advanced Proficiency Pathways Certification

Responsibilities

• Orient clinical faculty on evaluation instruments documenting student progress and competencies.
• Organize and participate in new student orientation regarding clinical expectations.
• Assist in hiring and selecting clinical faculty.
• Serve as liaison between the program and clinical agencies/sites.
• Conduct clinical faculty meetings to ensure instructional consistency.
• Ensure documentation of all clinical experiences and competencies.
