Job summary

Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) invites passionate educators to join our mission-driven team. The primary instructor will teach the Activity Director – Basic Course, preparing students for roles in assisted living or skilled nursing facilities, with day, evening, or weekend hours as needed across GTCC campuses.

Candidates should hold an Associate’s degree in a related field and NCCAP certification; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a Human Services or related field from an accredited college or university.
• National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) certification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaching the state-approved Activity Director – Basic Course to equip students for roles in assisted living or skilled nursing facilities.
• Developing learner-centered lesson plans and employing diverse teaching strategies.
• Instructing across day, evening, and weekend hours and potentially on multiple GTCC campuses.
