Job summary

Qualifications

• Hearing ability sufficient to evaluate residents' occupational therapy needs.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with residents and family members so that all parties understand the program and the degree of progress being made.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the needs of residents with occupational therapy needs and matches their needs with services available.
• Meets with residents regularly according to treatment program schedule, evaluates, and maintains records of residents' progress.
• Reports progress to management and family members and meets with them on a regular basis to discuss.
• Repeats evaluations on a regular basis to measure progress according to professional guidelines.
• Keeps current with professional literature and attends seminars on a regular basis to maintain and update professional skills.
