Job summary

OU Medicine is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support Adult Rehab Services. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will implement individualized treatment plans and provide skilled PTA interventions.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate's degree in PTA, an active Oklahoma PTA license, and at least 1 year of experience. BLS is required upon hire for this PRN role.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree as a PTA or equivalent for foreign grads.
• At least 1 year of experience as PTA.
• Current PTA license issued by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled PTA interventions per the treatment plan under the supervising PT.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, treatment plan, and home management.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
• Attends departmental meetings and participates in care coordination.
• Maintains compliance with system-wide, local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
