Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for the University of Oklahoma Medical Center in Oklahoma City. This full-time role supports adults in Rehab Services under supervision of a licensed PT.

The PTA will implement treatment plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, effective discharge planning. Oklahoma licensure and BLS are required on hire.

Qualifications

• Requires PTA credential and state licensure, or eligibility.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to educate patients and families effectively.
• Familiarity with EMR and digital documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled interventions per the treatment plan as directed by the supervising PT.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Educates patients and families about their condition, plan, and home management.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
• Attends departmental meetings.
