Stern Therapy Consultants seeks a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to support residents at Civita Care Center Bayview in Waterford, CT. You will perform skilled treatment under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, guiding residents through strengthening, balance, and safe mobility exercises.

Qualified applicants hold a Connecticut PTA license and can document progress while coordinating with nursing and therapy staff. PRN schedule and collaboration with clinicians are offered.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• Ability to carry out treatment plans with attention to resident safety and individual goals.
• Strong communication and accurate clinical documentation.

Civita Care Center Bayview | Waterford, CT

$35–$40/hour | PRN

Stern Therapy Consultants is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant at Civita Care Center Bayview in Waterford, CT. Support residents through the daily work of rehabilitation, helping them build strength and practice safer movement under the supervising Physical Therapist's direction.

What You'll Do

• Provide skilled treatment within the individualized plan of care developed by the PT.

• Lead prescribed exercises to improve strength, balance, and tolerance for activity.

• Help residents practice transfers, walking, and bed mobility with appropriate equipment and assistance.

• Follow medical precautions and monitor residents' symptoms and responses throughout treatment.

• Keep the supervising PT informed of progress, functional changes, and barriers to participation.

• Document services promptly and coordinate with nursing and therapy staff to reinforce safe mobility practices.
