WeCare Centers in Cedarhurst, NY is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to help residents improve mobility and reduce pain. You will work under the supervision of a licensed PT to implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current State PTA license.
• Outpatient experience is preferred.

• Use assistive devices and equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.

Key Responsibilities

• Making modifications to treatments as directed by the physical therapist to help the patient progress or to ensure patient safety and comfort.

• Preparing patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercise, stretching, applying modalities, and functional mobility training.

• Recording patient's reaction to treatment and providing status reports at the end of each treatment.

• Using assistive devices and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Graduate of an accredited PTA Program.

• Current State PTA License.

• Outpatient experience is preferred.
