Job summary

WeCare Centers in Montoursville, PA is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Sycamore Care Center. You will assist residents in improving mobility and functional movement under the supervision of a physical therapist.

The role includes modifying treatments, preparing patients and equipment, recording responses, and using assistive devices to help patients regain movement and reduce pain. A current State PTA license is required and outpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current State PTA License required.
• Outpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Modify treatments as directed by the physical therapist to progress the patient safely.
• Prepare patients and equipment for therapy and implement treatment plans including exercise and mobility training.

Key Responsibilities

• Making modifications to treatments as directed by the physical therapist to help the patient progress or to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Preparing patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercise, stretching, applying modalities, and functional mobility training.
• Recording patient's reaction to treatment and providing status reports at the end of each treatment.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Current State PTA License.
